Houhora Tavern is situated on one of the most beautiful harbour's in the world. The views extend to the upper & lower harbour and across to Mt Camel. Whether it is high or low tide, the native wild birds are exceptional. Spoonbills and many other species of birds gather along the shore. On the high tide mullet are seen jumping, and if you are lucky enough during spring tides Orca,s are seen in the harbour seeking stingrays, this is an amazing sight.                                                                                                                           Enjoy a refreshing ale, spectacular coffee or a tasty meal  while taking in the views. Play a game of pool or darts and you may even wish to browse over our collection of mounted fish, Marlin, snapper etc. Our salt water aquarium mirrors that of a rock pool with many little critters to view.
